This posting is to advise that the City has issued the RFQ documents in respect of the Request for Qualifications to Design, Build and Finance with a Development Phase for Green Line LRT - Phase One.

Project Description

The Green Line LRT will be 46 km long, extending from 160 Avenue in the North to Seton in the South. Stage 1 of the Green Line Program (“Stage 1”) extends from Shepard in the southeast to 16 Avenue N. and will be built in two phases. The first phase (“Phase One Project”) is a strategic investment that builds the core of the Stage 1 LRT while preparing for the future using a design-build-finance (“DBF”) model with a development phase.

The Phase One Project will include 18 km of LRT; 13 stations – including four underground stations in downtown and two elevated stations in the southeast; tunnel in downtown; bridges; sections of elevated track; park and ride facilities; and a new LRV maintenance and storage facility.

Additional Bidding Instructions

For suppliers who have formed an Applicant team for the purposes of this RFQ, the Applicant Lead is requested to complete an Applicant Lead Registration Form, available on MERX, and email it to the Contact Person (Shahroz.Ehsan@calgary.ca) along with an executed Appendix F – Confidentiality Agreement to the Green Line LRT Phase One Request for Qualifications. Only one registration form and one confidentiality agreement executed by the Applicant Lead will be required for the Applicant team. Upon receipt of these documents from an Applicant Lead, The City will provide the Applicant Lead with access to the Data Room. The “Applicant Lead” means the Team Member or Joint Venture on an Applicant team which will play the lead project management and coordination role in respect of the Project.
For prospective suppliers who have not yet joined an Applicant team, the supplier may review the copy of the issuance version of the RFQ available on MERX.

All Addenda and future Notices related to the RFQ as well as all Background Information will only be posted in the Data Room and will only be accessible by Applicant teams that have obtained access through their Applicant Lead.
